A missing legacy, a stolen son, and one dangerous secret changed everything for them…
SHE STOLE MY PROPERTY
I’ll never forget the night I caught her sneaking around my place. She thought she could steal from me and get away with it, but I have no intention of letting her get away at all. Mian Ross has a lesson to learn, and I’m going to be the one to teach it to her.
HE STOLE MY SON
I’ll never forget the night I made the second biggest mistake of my life. It was supposed to be a simple job, but it quickly became so much more–one that cost my freedom and cost my son. Angel Knight became my worst nightmare… and now, he’ll never let us go.
I’m so excited to actually review this one! B.B. Reid is one my go-to authors when I want to read something dark romance. The Bandit was so much more than I expected it to be. This book is the first in the Stolen Duet, and yes, you need to read this one first. It is not a standalone and while it has a semi HEA, you also have a cliffhanger in here.
To quote myself when it comes to this book, “Holy wow!” That is exactly what I said while reading it and after I finished it. It is definitely dark romance. It is highly intense. I have a love/hate relationship with both the main characters in this book but that’s what a good dark romance should be able to do. There were times in this book that I full on boggled.
The timeline jumps back and forth at times when the heroine has memories from the past but the book is split POV wise between the main characters. The characters themselves are interesting, as are the co-characters. I want to know more about more than one of them. This is one I wouldn’t say is safe, I’d also say it’s high on the trigger list for some. I’d also go so far as to say that some people might consider that here is cheating in it. (I’m not one of those but I can see it.) Again, it’s dark romance.

B.B. Reid does an amazing job of building a world that you fall into, characters that you love to hate, and hate to love, as well as adding a complexity to them that keeps you turning pages. I’m more than excited to start The Knight as soon as I can. I want to know what happens! Overall, 4.5 stars!
