K is for Kindle!
This should be obvious why I chose Kindle for my Letter K. I am an avid Kindle user. It goes everywhere with me and tends to have about 300 books on it, at any given time. Why Kindle specifically? Because I’m used to it. When they first came out, I had one. In fact, I got it for my birthday 2008. You know.. after they finally got them back in stock. 😛 I’m talking, the big clunky white thing, that had left and right page buttons, and a text keyboard on it.
Then I upgraded to the one that was OH my GOSH wow, Kindle that has 3G on it!? *gasps* It was the most amazing thing ever… and yet, still in black and white. I refused to get rid of that one for ages. Even after the Kindle Fires came out. I finally gave in, though, and got a Kindle Fire in 2012. I still have that one! If it’s not broken, don’t toss it.
Anyway, enough of Kindle memory lane. Again, I’m used to it. It is why I love it. Also, because I’m a fan of Kindle Unlimited. I go through so many books a year, that paying the $11.99 a month is worth it for me. I also love that I get suggestions from it. Sometimes it is books I’ve already read, but it does take into account what I’ve reviewed. The suggestions are also typically spot on as something I would read.
To be fair, I’m a bit dense on other e-readers. I’ve never been interested enough to check them out. I don’t even know how a Nook works. I do have friends that prefer it, and have heard that they like the layout better.
That all being babbled… do you prefer Kindle or Nook? Some other e-reader? Why? What features do they have? If you’re a Kindle user like myself, what are some of the features you like?
